About the Book

“I Can Learn: I Just Learn Differently” follows Bri, a bright young girl who often struggles to keep up in school. Feeling discouraged and different from her classmates, Bri opens up to her mom about her fears. With gentle reassurance, Mom explains that Bri simply learns at her own pace, and that her worth isn’t measured by how quickly she understands something.

That’s when a magical visitor arrives:

Franny the Fairy, a warm, glowing fairy who helps Bri discover her inner strengths. With Franny’s magical encouragement and Mom’s loving support, Bri learns that she can learn anything, she just learns differently, and that makes her wonderfully unique.

A heartwarming story blended with real emotions and a touch of magic, perfect for children who need reassurance, confidence, and hope.

Ophelia Brown

Ophelia Brown is a children’s book author, financial mindset coach, and the founder of Tulips & Ink Media. Her debut book, I Can Learn, I Just Learn Differently, is inspired by her daughter Briun, who was diagnosed with autism at age three and continues to be the heart behind everything Ophelia creates.

With over two decades of experience as an accountant, Ophelia’s greatest lessons didn’t come from corporate America, but from parenting a child who learns differently. Her journey through neurodiversity taught her to embrace patience, celebrate small victories, and rewrite the rules of learning and success.

Now, she writes to help children feel seen, celebrated, and confident in how their minds work. Through storytelling rooted in love and lived experiences, Ophelia empowers young readers to embrace their unique gifts and encourages parents and educators to do the same.

When she’s not writing or leading financial literacy workshops, you’ll find her cheering loudly at football games and satisfying her sweet tooth. Her mission is simple: to help as many people as she can with her voice, her words, and her deeds in any way she can.
